A Hopwire template is one message with a version for each channel. Versions never change once saved, and a version sends only when its channel has approved it.

Editing creates a new version. Sends can pin a version, or use the newest one that can send.

Header, category, variable tags, encoding and segment count are checked against DLT rules.

Questions
Who submits templates for approval?
During the beta Hopwire staff help record DLT template IDs and statuses. WhatsApp statuses come directly from Meta.
What happens if Meta pauses a template?
The status updates, a template.status_changed webhook is sent, and that version stops being used on WhatsApp until it is active again.
Can I send a template before it is approved?
No. A channel version sends only when it is approved. In the sandbox you can test without approvals.
Will RCS, email and push use the same templates?
Yes. RCS versions are planned for Release 3, and email and push versions for Release 4.
